Elijah Eastley is our Recruitment Officer on Taskforce for 2017, and he has put in a whole lot of work to make sure Youth Parliament has its most important feature – participants! This year Elijah has focused on recruiting participants from all around Tasmania, making sure that the opportunity to attend YP is accessible to people from a diverse range of backgrounds and areas.
When Eli isn’t making pre-camp surveys and calling Tasmanian High Schools, he is studying Philosophy and Law at Monash University. Eli moved to the big bad world that is the mainland at the beginning of this year. Eli first attended Youth Parliament in Grade 10 in 2014, and returned in 2015 and 2016 to a community where he absolutely thrived.
