The Tasmanian Youth Government Association is looking for approximately ten people who will be between the ages of 18 and 25 next year to coordinate the 2021 Tasmanian Youth Parliament Program. Apply now here!
If you are not yet 18 but no longer at school, you may also apply. The Program runs every year, offering students in grades ten to twelve an opportunity to develop their knowledge of Tasmanian political processes and issues, and skills in advocacy, teamwork and public speaking. We need a hard working, committed and enthusiastic team to make the Program happen in 2021!
Due to the COVID19 Pandemic, unfortunately the 2020 Youth Parliament Program did not run. Given the ever changing nature of a global pandemic, we have not yet secure dates for the program to run. However, typically the program will in the July School holidays (3 July – 19 July 2021). Please consider your availability carefully before applying, as circumstances are likely to change.
Each long form question allows you a maximum of 2500 characters to answer, and all questions must be answered for your application to be valid. Applications will close at COB (5PM) on Friday 11 December 2020, with the aim of informing all applicants of the outcome by Wednesday 16 December at this years AGM.
Please note that all applicants will be required to provide contact details for two referees. Please note that your referees do not need to be members of TYGA, or meet the requirements for membership (for example, they may be over 25).
